| Local High School Supports Provena Saint Joseph Hospital Breast Cancer Patients |
| 05/11/2009 |
When the sophomore class from Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock determined that they wanted to use the proceeds from their Spring Dance to help breast cancer patients, they thought to call Provena Saint Joseph Hospital. “We chose Provena Saint Joseph Hospital because of your Christian values and cooperativeness,” said Michelle Cozzie, Sophomore Student Council President. Marian Central’s Spring Dance, with its theme of “PINK”, raised money specifically for breast cancer patients who are receiving treatment at the Hospital’s new Bob and Edna Meadows Regional Cancer Care Center. Proceeds from the dance will purchase special post-mastectomy camisoles for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery. These camisoles are designed to provide comfort and assist in the healing process after surgery. With the gift from Marian Central Catholic High School, the Cancer Care Center is able to purchase 12 new camisoles for our patients. Provena Saint Joseph Hospital appreciates the generosity of the students at Marian Central Catholic High School and thanks them for their support of our Mission!
