Provena Medical Group (PMG) is a network of more than 50 providers representing 15 specialties in more than 22 locations throughout Illinois. All physicians, advance practice nurses, physician assistants and staff members have met appropriate licensing and registration requirements set by the State of Illinois.
PMG physician offices are part of Provena Health, a Catholic health system. Our ministries are committed to providing you excellent care and service. From hospitals and home care to immediate and long-term care to physician offices and more, we are here to meet the healthcare needs of you and your family.
Our local Provena hospitals are nationally-recognized leaders in quality and patient safety and are our preferred providers for any hospital care you may require.
Our Journey to Electronic Health Records
We are delighted to announce that our offices are in the process of transitioning to Electronic Health Records (EHR)! This new technology offers many patient-focused benefits including enhanced registration, scheduling and billing processes; greater access to clinical care data; and increased communication among other benefits.
Patients will also have access to electronic health records through MyChart, a secure Internet site that, among other features, will allow you to view your health summary, renew your prescriptions, request appointments and even engage in electronic messaging with our team from the convenience of your home computer. MyChart is currently available to patients of Drs. Ali, Anwar, Arla, Covault, Gandhi, Greathouse-Williams, Karcavich, Joseph, Mohan, Nguyen, Oliveros, Patterson, Pollastrini, Tiwari and Zahra. Other Provena Medical Group providers will go live with this technology over the course of the next several months.
Our Commitment to Quality
In January 2011, PMG achieved re-accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes PMG's physician practices for their commitment to providing the highest quality of care to patients and a safe work environment. The three-year distinction is a re-accreditation for PMG, which had achieved the accolade in 2008 as well.
Status as an accredited organization means that PMG has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by the AAAHC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by the association's expert surveyors - volunteer physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
