How To Apply for a Job

All current Provena Health employment opportunities are posted on our website and are updated regularly.  Click here to view our current openings. To be considered for a position at Provena Health, an application must be submitted online.  Resumes and e-mails submitted without an application cannot be properly processed and considered.  Applicants may also visit any of our Human Resources departments for assistance or to complete an application in person.

Application Process

Applications are screened for minimum and preferred qualifications based on the respective career opportunity.  Due to the large volume of applicants, it is very important to identify positions most aligned with your experience, skill and interest.

To apply for an open position, please complete the following steps:

• Click on "Open Positions:
• Select a "Job Category" or click on the "Search Jobs" link to view current openings
• Once you have found a position of interest, click on the job title for details, description, and requirements
• If you feel you meet the minimum requirements of the position you have selected, you will need an e-mail account before beginning the application process (if you do not have an e-mail account, you may establish one for free with www.hotmail.com or www.yahoo.com)
• Click on "Apply to this Job"
• Click on "Apply Now" and complete the following online application steps:

  • Biography
  • Job Profile
  • Employment
  • Upload Resume (optional)
  • References (minimum of 3)
  • Certifications
  • Application Questions
• Your application is finished once you receive the following message: "Congratulations! You have completed the application."

After your initial application is completed, you may apply at any time for new jobs that become available by accessing your account through the Jobseekers link.  You are encouraged to continue to visit the Provena Health Careers section and identify an jobs for which you qualify and have interest.  Click on the Jobseekers link to enter your username and password, as per your initial registration information.  You can login from any computer with access to the Internet to complete another application, check your application status or update your information.

Interview Process

Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the interview appointment by the hiring manager or a human resources recruiter.  The hiring manager will screen applicants and evaluate technical skills, personality and behavior standards.  If the hiring manager feels confident in the applicant's ability to perform the job successfully, he/she will send the applicant on to a peer interview in order to determine the applicant's organizational and departmental fit within the ministry.  The peer team will make the final recommendation on hiring the applicant.  If the applicant is selected, a formal employment offer will be made to the successful candidate.

Eligibility to Work

All successful applicants will be required to provide or undergo the following:

• A background screening: education, certifications, criminal and experience
• Drug screening
• TB skin test
• Pre-employment physical
• Proof of United States citizenship or eligibility, or authorization to work in the United States within three (3) days from the date of hire.
