E. Kevin Rose, FACHE System Vice President, Strategic
Planning & Business Development
Kevin Rose is System Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business
Development at Provena Health. In this role, he assists Provena ministries in
growing patient volume and market share through business plan development,
ambulatory site planning and implementation, medical staff development, service
line planning , assistance with Certificate of Need Approval, implementation of
new technology and facilities and market /customer research.
Kevin joined the former Franciscan Sisters Healthcare Corporation (FSHCC) as
a Planning and Market Analyst in 1988, from various consulting roles with St.
Louis, Missouri-based Ernst & Whinney. He was promoted to Market
Information Manager within a year and in 1995 became System Director, Market
Information implementing FSHCC's very first patient satisfaction measurement
system and developing comprehensive market profiles for each of its
hospitals. He helped secure Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board
approval of United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville, through the merger of
St. Elizabeth Hospital and Lakeview Medical Center. Kevin was also
instrumental in preparing the documents which led to the State's approval of the
formation of Provena Health in 1997.
Soon after, Kevin was named System Director of Strategic Planning.
Kevin's work has focused on the certificate of need process,
including State approvals of: Master Site Plans in Elgin and Joliet,
Provena Saint Joseph Hospital's Open Heart program and Provena Mercy Medical
Center's Surgery Suites and ICU expansion.
Kevin completed his undergraduate degree at the
University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, and earned his MHA from Saint
Louis University, Missouri. He is a fellow of the American College of
Healthcare Executives and maintains membership in Phi Beta Kappa Society.
