Guy Wiebking's involvement with Provena Health began over 15 years ago at the
invitation of a sponsoring congregation of one of Provena's predecessor
organizations, the former Franciscan Sisters Healthcare Corporation.
When Provena Health was formed in 1997, Mr. Wiebking became a charter member of
the Provena Health Board of Directors.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Wiebking has served the Board in a variety of
capacities and committee assignments including:
- Chair of the Board, 2002-2006
- Executive Committee - 2001 to present
- Governance and Nominating Committee - 2001 to present
- Mission Committee - 2006-2007
- Human Resources Committee - 2001
- Finance and Corporate Responsibility - 1998
A senior level executive with nearly 30 years of health care industry
experience, Guy previously held the position of Divisional Vice President, Major
Health Care Systems, Hospital Products Division, Abbott Laboratories, Abbott
Park, Illinois.
Guy presently serves on the Board of the Clara Abbott Foundation, Abbott
Park, Illinois, and on the Board of the San Miguel Schools, Chicago. He
earned an MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.
