Provena Health recently received four Ava awards from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for their “Leadership Lessons from the Movies: Volume Three” instructional video. Platinum level recognition was given in the Corporate Training and Copywriting categories and Gold level recognition was given for On Camera Talent and Directing.

Provena Health regularly screens “Leadership Lessons from the Movies” at their Leadership Development Institutes, which provide leaders within the Provena Health system an opportunity to develop their skills and share best practices from across the healthcare system. This volume featured lessons learned from the movie Apollo 13, including how to properly prepare for any possible outcome, how to be creative and flexible in problem solving and how to lead in a time of crisis. The video featured commentators Jim Witt, System Vice President of Clinical Integration and Andrea Bassi, System Director of Pharmacy and was directed by George Einhorn, System Director of Service and Operational Excellence.

The Ava Awards recognize outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, direction, shooting and editing of audio-visual materials and programs. Only 14 percent of the over 1,700 entries earned Platinum recognition.
