Provena Health ministries are an integral part of their communities throughout Illinois . Providing high quality care to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week regardless of ability to pay tells only part of the story. We are committed to our communities’ health in a number of ways, including fair and compassionate financial assistance and discount policies to help the uninsured, and partnerships and programs that address unmet health needs and promote community wellness. In 2009, Provena Health provided over $114 million in community benefit (according to the Catholic Health Association Guidelines).
Hospitals throughout the nation are facing increased scrutiny over their charity care practices and other community benefits.
