M. Fernandez, MD
Dr. Fernandez recently served as an urgent care physician in Berwyn, Ill.
Previously, he participated in the International Elective to Cuba,
practicing medicine in rural and urban
clinics.
Dr. Fernandez also worked with physicians at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in
Florida and at the Midwest Latino Health Research Center in Chicago where he
researched and helped draft a physician’s guide to diabetes in
minority patients. He recently completed his family practice residency
at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn. He earned his medical degree from the
University
of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and his bachelor’s degree in
biology from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Fernandez is eligible for certification by the American Family Practice
Board. He’s a member of the American Academy of Family
Practice and the Illinois State Medical Association.
