‘Tis the season to be healthy! The Provena Center for Healthy Aging (PCHA) will host an array of holiday events to spread wellness and cheer throughout the community.
To kick start the season, join the PCHA at ‘Enjoy the Holidays’ on November 12, 2009, from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at the PCHA Wellness Room. Learn about tasty and healthy recipes courtesy of the Provena Covenant Clinical Dietary Department and effective money saving tips from First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust. Also, receive holiday traveling tips and card-making ideas that you can share with family and friends. ‘Enjoy Your Holidays’ costs $5 for VIP members and $10 for non-VIP members. Please reserve your spot before November 10th, by calling 337-2022.
You are invited to a Holiday Luncheon & Style Show on December, 3, 2009, from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Champaign Country Club, 1211 S. Prospect Ave., Champaign. The event is co-sponsored by the PCHA and First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust. Provena Medical Group physician, Dr. Chris Covington, will speak on Stroke Awareness, with a fashion show following, provided by The Dress Barn. The cost is $25 per person. Please contact the PCHA at 337-2022 or First-Mid at 367-8451 (Urbana), 359-9837 (Champaign), 586-3450 (Mahomet) by November 25th to reserve a seat.
On December 11, 2009, the PCHA will be hosting a Christmas Party in the Wellness Room from 1:30pm – 3:00pm for VIP members and their guest only. Come share holiday recipes and enjoy refreshments and live music. This event is free so reserve your seat early by calling 337-2022. Following the Christmas party, you are invited to sit back and relax as we travel through Peoria’s seasonal lights and decorations. The Peoria Lights Bus Trip is on December 11, 2009, from 3:45 – 10:00PM. This event is $35 per VIP member and $45 per non-VIP member (dinner included). Please call the PCHA at 337-2022 for a reservation or refund by December 1, 2009.
The Provena Center for Healthy Aging is located at 410 E. University Ave. in Champaign. Parking is available on the north and west side of the building, with the entrance on the west side of the building.
