Provena to Present Nationally-Known Cardiovascular Authority
08/21/2007

August 20, 2007, Urbana, Illinois- More than 80 million Americans are affected by some form of cardiovascular disease, including high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and stroke. One of the best ways to reduce your risk of heart disease involves lifestyle changes. That’s why Provena is presenting a special program, “Living Healthy in a Doubleburger.com World” featuring a one of the nation’s foremost authorities on this topic, Joe Piscatella.

Joe Piscatella is president of the Institute for Fitness and Health, and author of ten books that have sold more than 7.5 million copies. He has hosted several PBS specials, and is a frequent guest on CNN, The Today Show, and Good Morning America.

The program will be Tuesday, September 18, at 7:00 p.m. at The Vineyard Church in Urbana. This program is free, but reservations are required and seating is limited. Mr. Piscatella will be available for autographs after the program.

“It’s so important that people take charge of their own health,” states Janet Ragle, RN, Regional Coordinator of Cardiovascular Services for the Provena Central Illinois Region. “Education on how to manage your weight, eat healthy, exercise…it’s the most important thing you can do to decrease your risk factors.”

The Provena Central Illinois Region, which includes Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana and Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, along with WICD-TV, WDWS Radio, and the American Heart Association, is pleased to bring this national authority on heart health to Central Illinois.
