Exercise is important at any age, and the Presence Center for Healthy Aging wants to help you get healthy and get fit with these exercise and fitness programs.
Community Fitness Gym
Community Fitness Gym is a medically-supervised exercise program with Exercise Specialists available for guidance.
Featuring a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art gym complete with:
- Treadmills
- Recumbent and stationary bicycles
- Airdyne bicycles
- Elliptical trainers
- Nusteps
- Free weights
- Stability and medicine balls
- Resistance bands
- And more
Conveniently located on the first floor at Presence Covenant Medical Center (Room C102).
Hours of operation: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Membership Fees: Individual: $50 per month Couple: $75 per month Per Session: $25 per individual session

Exercise Classes
Classes $25 per month and are held in the Wellness Room at the Presence Center for Healthy Aging (410 E. University, Champaign). New members must pre-register at the Presence Center for Healthy Aging. For more information, call Candy Gilbert at (217) 337-2022.
Get Fit While You Sit (Beginner/Low Level) Tuesdays/Thursdays 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Instructor: Bryce Compton, MS, Certified Athletic Trainer
Do you use a wheelchair or a walker? Are you unsteady on your feet? Do you have difficulty getting out of a chair or are plagued with arthritis? If so, then this workout is designed for you. This 45-minute class will help improve your flexibility, coordination and balance. The workout will also take the joints through a range of motion while also including a full body workout to maintain functional fitness. The workout will slightly increase your heart rate and is mostly chair-based.
Strong Bodies, Bones & Core (Advanced/Moderate Level) Tuesdays/Thursdays 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Instructor: Bryce Compton, MS, Certified Athletic Trainer
Strong core muscles are an absolute must for fall and injury prevention, better posture and overall physical well-being. The entire class includes the use and strengthening of the core muscles including all muscle groups of the back, abdominals, legs, bottom and hips. The class will also increase strength, endurance and coordination.
