Provena St. Anne Center Nurse Receives National Award
Angela Brown, RN, BC, at Provena St. Anne Center, received the Joan Anne McHugh Award for Leadership in Long Term Care Nursing. This national award is given to only one nurse each year. Established in 2005, the award recognizes nurses who demonstrate leadership and a commitment to the field of long-term care nursing while providing excellent clinical care to their residents.
Sr. Ange Receives Papal Honor
Sr. Marie-Ange Marcotte, sscm, Pastoral Care Director at Provena St. Anne Center in Rockford, Ill. was bestowed the papal honor of the Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice from Pope Benedict XVI. This honor is given to both laypersons and clergy for outstanding service to the Church.

Beth Florczak, RN, MS, WCC, RAC-CT, Corporate Director, Clinical Support at Provena Life Connections has been named as a contributor by the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA).
Beth provided her clinical expertise to enhance care to those served in long-term care settings across the country. She contributed to the following clinical practice guidelines:
Pain Management in the Long Term Care Setting (revised 2009)
These guidelines were developed by interdisciplinary work groups using a process combining evidence- and consensus-based thinking, and reviewed by several national organizations and individual experts. As a result, these guidelines are applicable to members of the long-term care interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, consultant pharmacists and others.
