At the encouragement of Joseph Cardinal Bernardin, Provena Health was born in 1997 from a human need to provide exceptional and compassionate health care services, and to be a sign of hope to all those in the communities it serves.
Since then, our Provena Health Catholic health system has evolved to include six hospitals, 17 long-term care and senior residential facilities, 28 clinics, five home health agencies and other health-related activities operating in Illinois and Indiana.
