Additionally, you will receive training in fine motor skills and community reintegration such as cooking. All of these daily life activities are occupations and participating in them is vital to maintaining overall health and wellness.
Speech Therapy
Our team of speech therapists will help you to improve your communication and swallowing skills as well as retrain you in certain cognitive skills. Your therapy will likely involve learning exercises and/or strategies for improved swallowing, as well as monitoring for improved swallowing as therapy continues, and adjusting therapy as necessary to address any noticeable changes. The goal of speech therapy is most often to help you learn to swallow more safely and effectively.
