Private Duty Home Care services offered through Provena Care@Home are for individuals who need assistance with personal activities such as bathing or preparing meals. The types of services vary because individuals requesting private duty home care need not be homebound or have a medical condition at all. In many instances, private duty caregivers serve as companions or housekeepers.
Services can be provided up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Depending on the individual's needs, the services of home health aides, RNs, LPNs and others are available. Before services begin, a nurse supervisor will meet with patients in their home to assess their unique needs and provide regular contact as required.
Private duty services primarily are paid for directly by patients and their families; although, some insurance plans may cover private duty services.
Assistance available under Private Duty Home Care include:
- Meal planning and preparation
- Bathing and dressing activities
- Light housekeeping duties
- Laundry assistance
