Resources for Older Adults Action Pact is an organization that provides educational resources to senior living communities to assist them on their culture change journey. Culture change is about creating home inside a nursing home and that's what Action Pact is all about. They share practical information and advice on restructuring nursing homes and reorganizing the way things work. American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) is committed to advancing the vision of healthy, affordable, ethical long-term care for America. The association represents 5,600 mission-driven, not-for-profit nursing homes, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and senior housing facilities, and community service organizations. The Alzheimer's Association, a national network of chapters, is the largest national voluntary health organization committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer's and helping those affected by the disease. The American Association of Retired People (AARP) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people 50 and over. It provides information and resources; advocates on legislative, consumer, and legal issues; assists members to serve their communities; and offers a wide range of unique benefits, special products, and services for its members. The Eden Alternative® has the potential of remaking the experience of aging and disability across America and around the world. They create coalitions of people and organizations that are committed to creating better social and physical environments for people. The Illinois Catholic Health Association (ICHA) mission is to support, strengthen and enhance the Catholic health ministry in Illinois. The Illinois Department on Aging mission is to serve and advocate for older Illinoisans and their caregivers by administering programs and promoting partnerships that encourage independence, dignity, and quality of life. The Illinois Pioneer Coalition provides long-term care organizations with the education and tools they need to effect deep culture change, transforming traditional long-term care settings into more home-like atmospheres and improving the quality of life for older adults and employees throughout Illinois. Life Services Network, a statewide association, has represented the leading providers of the complete continuum of services for older adults, including nursing care, supportive and assisted living, senior housing and home and community based services. With a diverse membership now numbering over 500 providers, LSN is the largest eldercare association in Illinois. |
