The Gretchen Charlton Art Gallery presents exhibits year round, and many of the art work on display is available for purchase. Our juried competitions offer an opportunity for local and regional artists to compete for monetary awards and prizes.
- Juried Fall Art Exhibit: This exhibit runs from September - October and is open to local and regional artists, featuring a wide variety of two dimensional works.
- Juried Photography Exhibit: Running from January - February, this exhibit features all genres of two-dimensional art and is open to local and regional artists.
- Juried College Art Student Exhibit: This exhibit, which runs from May - July, features the innovative and experimental (as well as traditional) work of local college art students.
- Members Invitational Exhibit: Hosted from November - December, this exhibit is open only to members of the Gretchen Charlton Art Gallery. This is a themed juried event awarding monetary prizes to the top three artists. In 2009, our theme is "Go Green," and we invite our members to submit works that support their interpretation of this theme.
In addition to our juried competitions, we also host a variety of other exhibits each month of the year. Some of these include:
- Youth Art Exhibit: March - April
- "Faces": This is a solo exhibit by Patty McWilliams that runs from July 16 - August 8. The opening reception will occur on Thursday, July 16 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
- "Women of the Asbury Atelier" - 50 beautiful works in oil, acrylic and watercolor will be on display from Monday, August 17 - Sept. 7.
- Residents' Favorites Exhibit: This exhibit runs in December and showcases the work of residents and their families.
