Beth Garrow Vice President Foundation, MPA, CFRE
Beth is Vice President of Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center's Foundation. She has oversight of fundraising, Volunteer Services, Leeza's Place at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center's Auxiliary and the Gift Shop. Beth brings 16 years of professional fundraising experience to this position with a well-established track record, particularly in major and planned gifts.
Beth began her development career in 1994 when she moved to Illinois from Southern California. She first served College of DuPage as Campaign and Major Gifts Officer and then as Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Prior to her move to Illinois, Beth's career included ten years of public administration with the City of Hawthorne, California with a focus in community redevelopment. Beth holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Correctional Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
Since joining the Medical Center family in 2005, Beth has guided the Foundation in its efforts to raise over $9 million in support of capital and programmatic needs including the Medical Center's new patient bed tower which opened in 2009 and the pediatric emergency department, which opened in March 2010. These efforts are in addition to the Foundation's two signature events, the Charity Golf Classic and Gala which are held annually to support the needs of the Medical Center.
The PSJMC Foundation also provides resources to our neighboring communities. In 2006, the Foundation formed a partnership with the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation to establish Leeza's Place at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center which provides free services to caregivers and their loved ones afflicted with memory and other chronic disorders. The Foundation also raises funds to support the Joliet Partners for Healthy Families which addresses childhood obesity in Will County by offering three after school programs for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in Joliet Public School District 86.
Beth is immediate past Chair of the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Joliet Rotary Club and serves on the advisory board of Will County Cares. Beth and her husband Tom have two grown children.
