The surgical team is lead by Dr. Peter Mihalakakos, Medical Director; Diane Hill, Bariatrics Coordinator, Anne Lietz, Bariatric Dietitian and Dr. Joanne Hattendorf, Psychologist.
 Peter Mihalakakos, M.D., F.A.C.S., was nominated as a Physician of the Year Finalist for 2008. "I’ve always been particularly interested in surgery, especially when it makes an improvement in someone’s life. With gastric bypass surgery, patients lose a significant amount of weight and feel so much better, both physically and mentally. They have a chance to do things they could never do before. In a way, I feel as if I’ve given them back their life," said Mihalakakos. Dr. Mihalakakos completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center in General Surgery.
 Brian J. Winkleman, MD, a specialist in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgeon, has added to the advancement of procedures for surgical weight loss. He completed a General Surgery residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Winkleman's credentials also include fellowship training in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery.
