Mended Hearts

The Joliet #129 Chapter of Mended Hearts brings hope to heart patients by providing a Monthly Meeting and Support Group. After diagnosis, treatment or surgery for heart disease, patients and families have serious concerns and strong feelings - questioning why they became ill and how to prevent future problems. Learning to understand and express their shock, disbelief, anger or frustration is an important step in the patient's recovery process and the supportive environment of the meetings provides a forum for these discussions. Communication is the key to coping. That's why the Joliet Mended Hearts Chapter 129 offers monthly group meetings where heart patients and families support one another.  Family members are welcome at all meetings.
