Extras:
There will be a nice spread of food with fruit, drinks, bagels and more at the post-race party. Plus all participants are eligible for a prize-laden raffle with gift certificates and other fun stuff.
Team Challenge:
Running clubs, businesses, groups of friends, civic groups, first responders can put together a team of up to 5 runners. The top 5 runners from your team will be scored and compared to all other competing teams (cross country style scoring). The fastest team will receive a Team Trophy and bragging rights for the next year. There will be two categories this year: Running Club & Non-Running Club. Only one team per organization. All team members must list the name of their team when registering.
Kids Kruise:
Free for children 12 and under. There will be three age categories with increasingly longer distances as the age groups increase. You do not need to pre-register for this event.
2012 Results:
This year, we had 500 registrations and 445 runners ranging in ages from 5 to 82.
We have a new course record! Patrick Austin of Yorkville has topped our last record holder at 16:02.2. The previous time was held by Larry Coons (16:41.5).
