The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center Foundation announced a new partnership on February 1, 2006 supporting the Leeza’s Place caregiver outreach center located at 113 Republic Avenue in Joliet.

Leeza’s Place at PSJMC is a community-based resource offering programs that   educate, empower and energize both caregivers and those recently diagnosed with any memory disorder.

Initially launched as Trude and Leeza’s Place under the sponsorship of the Gertrude P. Zalar Alzheimer Care Foundation, the newly named Leeza’s Place at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center continues to offer its current programming combined with the enhanced offerings of PSJMC and also complements the programs at Provena Senior Services. It offers services that nourish self-esteem, relieve symptoms, impart knowledge, promote inclusion, and ultimately improve the quality of life while helping those affected to acquire advocacy coping and care-related skills.

“Leeza’s Place addresses a growing need in Will County for services and programs to help individuals and families deal with memory loss,” says Jeff Brickman, President and CEO.

A current schedule of classes and activities is available from Kathy Miller, Care Advocate, at (815) 741-0077 or visit www.leezasplace.org.
