Risk Adjusted Mortality Rate
- is the number of patient deaths for a specific condition or procedure divided
by the total number of patients admitted for the condition or procedure.
The lower the score the better the patient
quality. This rate is adjusted for variations in severity of illness.
Adjustments are also made to the data based on national patient demographics
such as age, gender and medical codes. The plus signs mean the results are
statisically significant.
