Most people, in fact, have occasional cardiac arrhythmias. Many arrhythmias are completely benign and inconsequential, while others are extremely dangerous and life-threatening. At Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center we have nationally recognized electrophysiologists who provide a full array of arrhythmia management services and electrophysiology (EP) procedures that are typically only offered at the major academic medical centers, including very complex techniques like ventricular tachycardia ablation.
Our electrophysiology team is lead by the following physicians:
These board-certified cardiologists and electrophysiologists utilize their unique expertise to study the electrical systems of the heart to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of rhythm disturbances. We treat the following types of complex cardiac arrhythmias including;
For patients with suspected serious heart rhythm disturbances, an EP study in our specially equipped electrophysiology labs helps diagnose the origin and nature of an arrhythmia and assess its risk level. A study typically takes only an hour or two.
