Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center’s Auxiliary recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with a High Tea Party at the Medical Center’s Wallin Auditorium. The celebration highlighted the long and illustrious history of the Auxiliary and the impact it has had on the Medical Center. Auxiliary President, Dorothy Stanfield led the 80 members in attendance in a toast honoring the founding members, along with those who have passed on.
Founded in 1955 by 25 ladies in the community looking to formally give back the Auxiliary has supported the Medical Center with numerous fundraising opportunities to better the patient experience & advance health care in the community.
"Today, the Auxiliary continues to dedicate themselves to the betterment of the Joliet community through volunteer services and fundraising efforts. With over 150 members, many auxilians continue to volunteer. Last year the Auxiliary contributed over 2400 hours to the gift shop & special sales. The Auxiliary’s special sales & Annual Fashion Show raise funds to support new programs and technologies, to ensure that together Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center continues to grow as a leader in healthcare, not only in the Will County community, but across the nation.
