Red Hot Mamas

Welcome!
If you’re a woman over 40 and experiencing menopausal symptoms, you’re a Red Hot Mama! And you’ve come to the right place!

You’ve seen a lot of changes in your life, and one of the biggest is just beginning – menopause. Our menopause education and support program is here to make you feel comfortable, energized and hotter than ever as you enter the prime of your life!

Don’t Go It Alone!
Did you know the hormonal changes of menopause can affect your mood, sleep, sexual function, bone mass and even risk of heart disease? You don’t have to go through this alone. Now there’s a fun way for you and your red-hot friends to learn how to combat the symptoms of menopause.

Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center is proud to take part in the nationally acclaimed Red Hot Mamas program to inform and support women who are or soon will be experiencing menopause. Physician-presented seminars at our monthly meetings cover a wide range of topics relating to the physical and psychological stresses that can accompany this phase of a woman's life. Our comfortable, candid setting will inform and unite participants.

Sessions are held at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Presence Healing Arts Pavilion, 410 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox, unless otherwise noted. A light dinner and refreshments are served.

Registration is required. Please call 877.737.INFO to register.

Upcoming Red Hot Mamas Programs

To pee or not to pee!
Thursday April 24 | 6 p.m.
Presence Healing Arts Pavilion | 410 E. Lincoln Highway, New Lenox

If you’re embarrassed about having a bladder control problem, you may try to cope on your own — wearing absorbent pads, carrying extra clothes, avoiding going out. You may even cut back on drinking liquids — and risk dehydration — to avoid wetting episodes.

Join Urologist, Dr. Constance Marks, as she explains better ways to manage urinary incontinence and effective treatments that are available. Learn why it’s important to see your doctor and ask about treatment. You’ll be on your way to regaining an active and confident life — and control of your bladder.

The Red Hot Mamas program series is FREE but seating is limited, so call 877.737.INFO (4636) to reserve your spot. Light refreshments will be served.
