Ergonomics is the science of designing the job, equipment and workplace to fit the worker.  Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability.

What can be done?
Preventitive measures can be used to ensure a reduction in risk factors that lead to common work injuries, as well as to ensure proper body mechanics and safe handling techniques.

Ergonomic Assessments
Our Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist can visit your facility to provide a detailed analysis of your work environment. The analysis will highlight potential hazard areas, risk factors and possible solutions to decrease the risk for injury. Our specialist analyses this data and will prepare a comprehensive report which is then provided to the employer.

Training Sessions
One of our trained therapists can visit your facility and provide training to you and your employees to further decrease their risk for injury. Each session will be tailored to your individual needs. These sessions can include, but are not limited to:

  • Proper body mechanics with lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling
  • Proper workstation set-up
  • Information on injuries, risk factors and prevention measures
  • Warm-up and stretching program
