Meet Dr. Shital Mehta

Shital T. Mehta, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. and a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She has worked locally at both the Helen Wheeler Community Health Center and the Manteno Veterans Home.  She is also Board Certified in Psychiatry. 

Dr. Mehta received her Resident Training in General Psychiatry at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, Illinois after receiving a Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, India. She has worked at Macneal Hospital, Berwyn, Illinois, Weiss Hospital, Chicago, Illinois and Sion Polyclinic, Mumbai, India.

Dr. Mehta’s teaching credentials include Medical Education Facilitator and Lecturer in Pharmacology and Behavioral Sciences and Biostastics at Arc Ventures, Chicago, Illinois and Tutor in the Department of Pathology at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai, India. Her interests include Women’s Health, Geriatrics and Substance Abuse.
