Quality of care
First and foremost, you can put your trust in us to care for you. Our cancer program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer, with commendation. CoC accreditation challenges cancer programs to enhance the care they provide by addressing patient-centered needs and measuring the quality of the care they deliver against national standards. Our physicians are board-certified and our nurses are certified by the Oncology Nursing Society.

Our physicians see their work as not just a job, but a calling to provide care. Jo-Mel Labayog, MD, is board-ceritified in Adult Medicine, Oncology, and Hematology. Jaidev Soni, MD, is a board-certified in Radiation Oncology. Both are experienced, knowledgeable, caring, and well-respected in the community and in the field. They are supported by a physicist, nurses, radiation technologists, and other professional and caring staff.
Each year, our cancer program compares data on performance measures to hospitals throughout Illinois and to other Commission on Cancer-accredited programs across the nation. These evidence-based, rigorously developed CoC quality measures help us to evaluate the impact of our outcomes and ultimately continue to improve the care we provide. Read our annual outcomes report.
Clinical trials & research
We recognize the importance of continued research in order to find a cure for cancer in our lifetime. Our center participats in national patient registries by sharing our patient data, tissue, and PET scans in order to contribute to the development of new treatments. We also provide information and education about new cancer-related clinical trials and assist with referring patients to programs that are conducting these efforts.
