Outpatient Surgery - Ambulatory Care |
 |
Patients can trust in the experience and reputation of the nurses and staff in our Ambulatory Care Unit. Our long-time employees have years of experience and training to provide patients with the finest care. Unlike a freestanding outpatient surgery center, our Ambulatory Care Unit is backed by a full service Medical Center ready to handle any unexpected complications.
The Ambulatory Care Unit is dedicated to making things easy for those having outpatient surgery, endoscopy, and minor medical procedures. The Ambulatory Care Unit staff makes the entire process from admission through testing and surgery convenient and efficient.
The unit's Minor Procedure Room is designed to keep down the cost of the procedures and to speed the process, resulting in savings and convenience for the patient. Our Endoscopy department provides complete diagnostic procedures for gastrointestinal diseases. Other medical procedures performed in the unit include blood transfusions, I.V. antibiotic therapy, and phlebotomy.

In 2007, Provena United Samaritans invested more than $650,000 for a redesign of the Ambulatory Care Unit, to increase the comfort and safety of our patients.
