Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep

Dr. Ismail Bobat is now seeing patients full-time in Danville for Pulmonology & Critical Care, in addition to Sleep Medicine!

Dr. Bobat has had a part-time office practice in Danville since 2005, and serves as the medical director for the Provena Sleep Lab.  Now his privileges at Provena United Samaritans have expanded to care for pulmonary and critical care patients in the Vermilion County area.

Dr. Bobat earned his medical degree from the Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherlands-Antilles, a Masters Degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency at Harbor Hospital, Maryland, with clinical rotations at John Hopkins.  As part of a unique, multi-specialty program, he later completed a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Dr. Bobat is board certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, sleep medicine, and internal medicine.

With a pulmonologist/critical care expert on our medical staff, more critically-ill patients (such as ventilator patients) can be cared for here at Provena United Samaritans, without having to be transferred.

Dr. Bobat is accepting new patients at the Medical Office Building, 800 North Logan Avenue, in Danville.  To schedule an appointment, call 217.431.4080.

The Pulmonary Services staff at Provena United Samaritans provides outpatient pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gases, and pulse oximetery.  These services are also provided for hospital inpatients as well as breathing treatments, ventilators, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and education.
